Rob has lived in the QPRC area with his wife, Robyn, for over thirty years, and moved from their rural property in Carwoola to Mount Fairy a few years ago. With over thirty years’ experience living in a rural community, Rob has a good understanding of the challenges presented by the rural lifestyle, and the importance of a Council that focuses on its country residents as well as those in the major townships.
Rob worked initially in the private sector, but spend most of his career in the NSW and then Commonwealth Departments of Agriculture, working on protecting Australia’s agricultural industries and the natural environment from exotic pests and diseases, and helping Australia’s farmers export their produce overseas.
Rob is now retired and is an active member of the local Rural Fire Service Brigade, the Men’s Shed and garden club.
